• 7.7% of GDP – 4.6% directly and 3.2% indirectly

• 327,888 total tourism employment – 194,631 direct, 133,257 indirect 
• 17.0% of exports. 

TIA considers tourism to be a strongly positive industry for Aotearoa New Zealand, to both the economy and more broadly.
