TIA Photo Competition 2021

The Photo Competition is now closed.

A year of closed borders hasn't been easy for tourism, but when we look at the big picture, some positives can be found. Kiwis have embraced the opportunity to explore Aotearoa and many have taken the chance to explore their own backyards, finding wonder and adventure closer to home.

That's why our theme for this year's competition is: home.

Show us something worth writing home about, how you make your guests feel at home, or where your heart is! Because we reckon New Zealand's probably the best home in the world.

This is a great opportunity to get creative and generate some fantastic, high-profile exposure for your tourism operation.

Winners

People’s Choice Award
The best photos received each week will be featured on TIA’s Facebook page each Friday and open to voting by the public. The photo that receives the most ‘likes’ throughout the competition period will be the winner of the People’s Choice Award.

This means that the earlier you submit your photo, the better chance you have of winning more likes. You can encourage your friends, family, co-workers and guests to vote for your photo.

Judge’s Choice Award
The winning Judge’s Choice photo will be selected by our judging panel

Key dates

  • Entries closed Thursday 4 March
  • Facebook voting for People's Choice runs until 4pm, Thursday 11 March
  • Winning photos announced in Te Aka Tāpoi (T-Mail) on Friday 12 March.
