TIA supports the ongoing liberalisation of visitor visa policies to support visitation from key visa-required markets like China, India and Indonesia.
This includes lengthening the period of multi-entry visas for major markets such as China, and introducing a single Trans-Tasman visa. New Zealand cannot stand still. To retain its competitiveness with other destinations New Zealand needs to be a fast follower with visa liberalisation.
TIA supports working visa settings that make it easy for employers to take on overseas staff based on regional needs, specialist skills and language requirements, when the local market is unable to meet those needs.
