What do you do at TIA?
I am a Project Coordinator for the WellingtonNZ Tourism Sustainability Programme. I help promote the New Zealand Tourism Sustainability Commitment in the Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington area and work behind the scenes to support the project team.
What's your career background?
I have an academic background in tourism management and am studying a Master of Public Policy with a focus in conservation and sustainability. I have worked in hospitality and, more recently, in the tourism policy space.
What do you do for fun?
I love to get out and about running or hiking and enjoy social sports. I am currently part of the TIA squash team and dabble in a bit of rowing.
What’s one thing you’re doing in pursuit of sustainability?
This year I committed to buy only second-hand clothing! There have been a few very small exceptions, but I have massively reduced my spend and carbon footprint by doing this. My wardrobe has become a lot more colourful and unique through this process!
